The Medical Innovation Expo was born from a simple observation: too many brilliant ideas from medical students and residents were never being developed. The solution was straightforward — build a dedicated platform that brings industry partners, investors, and promising ideas together, and lay a real path to commercialization.

Dr. Michael Moreno
Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering · Texas A&M University
Dr. Moreno is the inaugural Director of Innovation and co-founder of the EnMed program. He also serves as the Director of the Biomechanical Environments Laboratories, where his research is focused on experimental biomechanics and biomechanical engineering across multiple scales.
Alexandra Farhangui
Medical Resident · EnMed
Alexandra currently has two devices undergoing IP review, with a third submitted in 2024. Her publications include research on AI image-based dermatologic diagnostic algorithms, edutainment for kidney transplants, and suture tensile strength in sacrocolpopexy.
Bijan Farhangui
Medical Entrepreneur
Bijan is a serial entrepreneur with several successful ventures in the medical industry, including Melanoma Diagnostics, PET/CT Imaging, and SAMI Services. He holds an MBA focused in Finance, Marketing, and International Business from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
